Call to vote in European elections

A few days before the European elections, Dieter Kempf, President of BDI, Vincenzo Boccia, President of Confindustria and Geoffroy Roux de Bézieux, President of Medef, invite EU citizens to vote for a stronger and more united Europe.

We, the Presidents of BDI, Confindustria and MEDEF, representing the enterprises of the three largest manufacturing countries in Europe, call on our fellow European citizens to vote in the European Elections on 26 May.

Thanks to Europe we live in a unique area of peace, freedom and prosperity. The European Market is home to our companies and employees. Together they create millions of jobs and wealth. Only a strong and united Europe can defend our values, our way of life and our interest at global level. By voting in the European elections we can actively take part in shaping the future of our continent.

Businesses from France, Germany and Italy share a clear vision for the future of Europe: to become the global leader in creating growth and jobs, innovation, sustainability and protection for our young generations, citizens and businesses.

In an ever-changing world, full of new threat and opportunities, no single country would make it alone: our unity is our strength.

We, as entrepreneurs and as citizens, need to send a strong signal to our national governments and to the rest of the world: Europe matters to us. Therefore, we call on all European citizens to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections and to vote in support of a strong and united Europe.
